TEAM APPROACH Durnin & James, CPA's philosophy is to be a vital part of our client’s operation, assisting and working with our clients on a continuing basis throughout the year. As director-in-charge of the firm, John N. Durnin, CPA, is responsible for planning, reviewing and overall administration of the firm. As director-in-charge of audits, Dennis E. James, CPA, is responsible for planning, reviewing and overall administration of audit engagements. Both are well versed in all areas of tax and accounting and share responsibility for these duties. Various elements of engagements are assigned to firm personnel consistent with each employee's level of training and technical ability. Being a local firm makes it possible to establish a long, lasting relationship with our clients, whether large or small.  Our firm provides more than accounting, auditing, tax and litigation services. We remain in contact throughout the year in order to keep clients abreast of new developments, and changing needs of their particular tax, accounting and audit strategies. We often act as a "sounding board" whenever new situations arise.
